Here are 36 resume designs that are suppose to help you get noticed by job recruiters. My resume is pretty bland and boring. I’ve posted it over on Razumes to have it annoymously edited and reviewed. One person has already reviewed it for me.

I wish that my teachers had been half-way interested in teaching us any real world skills such as job hunting, resumes, cover letters, etc. Mr. Delacruz had us do a little leg work in looking up job posting websites but that was all. It’s definitely a learning experience that once I get that job, I will be able to pass on my knowledge on how to get a job.

Next week I have an appointment with the career center for a mock-interview. My skills arsnel, they be growing!

A good resume is only one that gets you an interview. The interview can also result from interaction with people you come in contact with if you visit the place you wish to work. Drop the resume off and be as pleasant and natural as you can. Confidence is something that is sensed in a person. It is detected in not so much as by the words you use, but more so from the way you say them and carry yourself. During the interview, if you are asked if you can do something, the correct answer, besides Yes, is that you can do it, or you can learn to do it in minimum amount of time. If you love the work you do, it will show when you talk about it. This will be detected by a good interviewer. The sad thing is that the person that interviews you might not be that good to begin with. I have had the best results by being interviewed by people that were as smart, as or smarter than I. people can be intimidated by someone who is smarter than them. Getting through the interview with success is a lot about how you read the interviewer, and how you guide yourself from that.
