50 Best Jobs for Your Personality
In my seemingly never ending quest to find myself and a job that I’ll love, I did the quiz in 50 Best Jobs for Your Personality. The book gave me some stuff to work with as I narrowed down my results to Artistic then Conventional, which mirrored my results that I had in the Strong Interest Inventory test. Unfortunately I got the same results with the only AC job being a librarian. I wrote down 13 jobs which I was curious about and narrowed it down to three: copy writer, librarian, and video editor. Great. I’m absolutely no closer to where I started.
I’ve pre-registered to take a practice GRE and have RSVPed for a campus tour at UNC Greensboro later this fall. I’ll also try to swing by Chapel Hill to check out their librarian program. The problem is that today I realized I’m not sure I want to spend the next 40 years answering questions behind a desk. I would rather do something more enriching for not only my own life, but for the community/world. They have a Master’s in Historic Preservation at UNC Greensboro. I may need to look into it.
