Starting next week for five weeks, I’ll be helping assist the elderly as they learn basic computer skills. The job is twenty hours total at $10/hr, which isn’t bad. I’ve been trying to decide what to do with the money. After the trip to the orthodontist though, I am tempted that I should put the money towards getting the Hawley retainer for my bottom teeth. I did not go through two years of agnotizing pain for nothing, so I don’t need the teeth moving around, after all!
I’d like to buy a LCD monitor so I could do work more efficiently with the help of two screens, but that will have to wait. The most important things about this job is that I’ll get to work with the elderly which I enjoy, teach new skills to an older generation, and gain more expierence. I’m a little nervous about the prospects of working with strangers, but I know I’ll be just fine.
