Today I cut out the remaining interface pieces for my Butterick purse. The interface is a little thick and heavy but I think the stability will help protect my netbook, which is the purpose of this purse’s making. I’ve never made a purse before but I think it’ll be well-worth the effort.
However, I am afraid of the needle breaking. I bought a leather needle especially for this purse, but that’s no guarantee of non-breakage. When I made my friend’s daughter a dress a couple years back, the gathered waist alone broke 4 needles. If I feel up to it after the workshop, I may work on it some more. We’ll have to see!
