The local news station played by interview after I had left the house to go to work this morning. My mom and some coworkers notified me of the video. Mom praised it, saying I looked very professional and did not stutter, but unfortunately… I’m very disappointed that I did not get to see the clip to be honest. I was a class speaker at my high school graduation and never got to see the video from that either. It’s rather silly to be so excited about this interview, but it’s the first time I’ve had a speaking part on the local news. Note: in high school, a reporter came out to the onsite day care center I worked at and filmed the children. I’m in the background playing with the kids in one clip.

I had the director of my applied to program’s email response sent to my phone so I could find out what’s going on with UNCG while I was at work. The Graduate Center is just now acknowledging having received my application materials that I had sent in December then again in February. I’m stressed out that they took so long. The director also told me that he was suppose to have been given this paperwork a couple weeks back, but they just submitted it to the program.

The next step is for the department to make their decision and then send it to the Graduate School (the center, the hubcap, etc). After that, a letter will be sent out. Personally I feel in these technical times that it’d be cheaper and more approriate for the stressed if we received an email about our admission status rather than prolong the wait via postal mail.

As soon as I hear something more solid, I’ll post a follow up.
