Change your address with USPS (you can do it online but they charge you a $1 fee).
Check your state laws about how soon you need to get your license’s addressed changed. In NC, this is done online for a $10 fee.
My trip to Carowinds (a NC amusment park) was cancelled due to a 70% chance of thunderstorms for the park. If another day can be arranged before school starts, I’ll have to drive down to meet my friends. Other than that, I need to get packing!
The broken zipper on my wallet has resulted in the loss of my special writing instruments so today I had to suck it up and use a plain pen to draw on some loose leaf paper. While thinking about what to do, I decided to work on my website since I would like to set up a fresh page over on the main site before school starts. I just paid for another six months of hosting and it’s about time I put it to good use!
The above image is my sorry attempts to set up a design. It’s very illustrative in nature as I continue to think in animated Flash terms for web design. If it was good enough for my senior portfolio it should be good enough for my professional website, right? I’m not 100% behind the idea of another Flash based website but it does make interaction easier. The drawing on the side is my continued project with Shiver.
Last month, the original tapes of the July 20, 1969 spacewalk were found in Australia. The video (shown above) is remarkably clear unlike what U.S. viewers saw at the time thanks to a camera being pointed at a tv and that image being what was projected to homes across America. NASA has a website right now tracking Apollo 11’s voyage right now available at We Choose the Moon.
To celebrate the one year anniversary of my blog, I’m posting the scanned, cleaned, and color corrected verisons of the baby photos of my mom, aunt, and myself. I’m not sure of the ages but my mom was probably not a year old, my aunt is a toddler, while I was one month old in my photo. I hope you enjoy!
So in my new position as ‘safety investigator and reporter’ at work, I have invited my coworkers to bring up their safety concerns so I can write up reports and send them to the people who can possibly do something about it. However, as the title of this entry reads, it doesn’t seem to help. So far I’ve gotten zero responses back. Lame. I told my coworker today when he asked that while it’s disheartening, at least there is a paper trail to show that it was reported if something ever happens.
I’m rather enjoying my new responsibilities even as I spent an unmentionable amount of time trying to tack new signage on a forklift that is kept outside. A new manager drove slowly by, staring me down as I applied insane amounts of tape on the seat. He probably thinks I’m into forklift bondage using clear duck tape. However, the sign should resist rain, huzzah!
