I carefully packed the essentials with me: a 5 subject notebook, an agenda, netbook, textbook, my wallet and cellphone. I only changed clothes once opting from a white and pink skirt & top for black capris and a favorite shirt covered in crowns. My hair came next with my bangs parted on the opposite side and a long ponytail. I carried my homemade “leather” purse and the totebag I had decorated as part of my birthday present from Sarah.

(sorry the sentences are run ons, I’m tired)

When I got to class, I attempted to work my way through the long instructions from IT on how to hook my computer to the school’s network. I was met with failure. Class began and I laughed a lot, the teacher not so bad or scary. A few faces were familiar to me thanks to orientation. During the break, I met up with the girl I had met online and we went to look for our department’s HQ upstairs. Another woman joined us. We got lost but eventually found our way, but I was still late for class by the time I got back. It’s a long walk from the back of the classroom to the front while the teacher is talking. >_>

We introduced ourselves. I rambled about being inept at video games but could build and troubleshoot computers as my “fascinating nugget.” For my career plan I said I’m getting my School Media Coordinator’s Licensure along with certification in Museum Studies. I want to work for the federal government, or I’ve been watching too much Bones. The students laughed. There are some assignments online that I have to read and post to the online forum. Participation both in class and online is very important. I can deal with this.

After class I walked out with the internet girl and we made plans to meet up tomorrow after our next shared class. We’re going out for coffee. It’s not a terrible way to start out at a new school. I’m falling asleep but I’ll be writing about class each day from here on out.
