I’m not much of a gamer. So its a pretty big endorsement for me to say I got sucked into Plants vs Zombies for the hour of the demo.
Gameplay is simple and fairly intuitive. Almost too simple. Then level 8 comes along and your brains have been ate by the zombies. Shiver has been playing it non-stop for the past week so here’s your less than gentle nudge to go try it out. Drop me a line about what you think of it.
It took a week and a half but I’m back and running!
I don’t have anything in the way of new content since I’ve been pouring over housing ads for Greensboro and trying to fix my inability to see my website. We’ll see if I can pull something together in the next couple days!
I’ve been accepted into UNCG!
Officially its May 10th, but it was a Saturday last year so today marks 365 days since I graduated college. How have things changed? How have they stayed the same? I think this blog can answer the outward questions but the internal ones I cannot answer either. Waiting to hear yay or nay from the grad school is the hardest part.
I’m thankful I have a full-time job even if its not using my education. Hopefully next year it’ll be even better.

I’m having some problems with my knees and hips so I went looking today for a new computer chair. While browsing through Office Depot, I found a clearance table of display cameras. The $121 price tag was a steal on this Kodak Z1285 which has 12MP, 5x optical zoom, and HD video. I snatched it up and am glad I did!
The video quality is amazing compared to my older 2MP camera. The photos are clear and concise. I can’t wait to put this camera through the wringer next Saturday at Shiver’s graduation.

I was at work today and ran across pink filing cabinets which we had gotten in stock. I didn’t even know I needed pink filing cabinets in my life till then! While I can’t find the one I saw on the store’s website, I found the above pretty picture on flickr. I know what my next days off project is going to be!
Update: I found a photo of the pink filing cabinet sold by Walmart at Unbirthday. I checked Walmart’s website again and they have not posted their pink filing cabinet. However, I recently saw one at my local store, so I know that they’re still being sold.
My friend’s show opened today and she graduates in a couple weeks. I stood awkwardly around the refreshment table watching her interact with her college classmates and teachers who came to support her. It got me thinking that by the end of the month, nearly everyone I had grown up with would have graduated from this leg of college. So I went on a photo editing rampage and uploaded some photos to facebook.
I know that most people would disagree with my assessment that high school was better than college, but all I can think looking at these photos is, “Wow, we didn’t even know how good we had it.”
By the way, the above is from my fourth grade class trip to Raleigh.
