I have a weakness for seeing Shiver and my characters interpreted by other artists. Fortunately, I have found many artists who do commissions for a steal! WARNING: One is definitely not safe for work (NSFW). Below are the pictures I have commissioned so far:
A couple weeks ago, some friends introduced me to the art form of swap comics. The results of our labor can be found on Mike’s website, The Exuberant Calliope.
I drew these guys in the margins. The most notable thing about today’s Collections Management class was that I was 20 minutes late after having circled the Commuter parking lots for 40 minutes. I then had to walk nearly half a mile to get to class. >_> We talked about ourselves a bit and then discussed what is a collection. It got heated at several points and I was surprised that we were not just moving on. I disagreed with some of the assessments but I worked on my doodles instead.
The teacher’s advice was to come to school 45 minutes before class starts to try and catch the parking spots of those who leave for lunch. This will be a long semester on Tuesdays.
My current pocket sketchbook from A.C. Moore is falling apart at the seams and the corners are worn. So on to Amazon and ordered a Moleskine sketchbook to match the notebook. It’ll be less bulk in my apron pocket. The current sketchbook I’ve been using since 12/11/2007 and still has 34 pages in it.
Or maybe I’ve just been sucked into the Moleskine cult…
