Using this recipe, I made mint brownies for my boyfriend to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The ingredients
The brownie mix
The icing
The finished product
Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo of the top layer of icing which resulted in the brown finished product above. My boyfriend said it was like biting into an Andes mint. I loved making this. The brownie batter was so good that I was licking it off my fingers so I wouldn’t miss any.
I hope you had someone to share the love with today!
To celebrate the one year anniversary of my blog, I’m posting the scanned, cleaned, and color corrected verisons of the baby photos of my mom, aunt, and myself. I’m not sure of the ages but my mom was probably not a year old, my aunt is a toddler, while I was one month old in my photo. I hope you enjoy!
Filmed from a bridge that crossed over I-26 near downtown Asheville. This is a last burst of the fireworks show. Towards the end the camera refocuses and that distant small red fireworks are from Lake Julian. We also saw the ones from McCormick field from our location so in effect we got all three major shows in Buncombe county!
The Easter Bunny arrived at work today. On my break I went over and had the above photo taken. When I went to pick it up later I found out that the photo lab was using me as their mascot of “good cheer” or whatever for going along with the photoshoot and had taped my photo to the front of their counter. The above photo is a blurry verison of the original photo as taken by my camera phone. The original is pretty nice even wearing my work clothes!
