I winced at the price tag yesterday, but I’m fully committed to loving this desk. The file cabinets were given to me a few years ago, so all I had to buy was the table top. It measures almost 79″ long by 24″ wide. I’ll be moving into a new room in a couple weeks, but I couldn’t resist putting this together!

I bought a mini fridge today off my best friend/her husband. The main point of it is to keep my cat’s insulin cold and safely in my room. Now off to find a hot water tray to go underneath it…

After the humilation of screwing up my dear friend’s graduation walk with super shaky camera action I bought a tripod today. It was kinda a random purchase but I had money in the hand since I was out on the visit prospectative roommate trip. It stands at 61″ and comes with its own carrying bag so it shouldn’t be too inconvienent to carry with me.
In other words, my tech collection continues to grow!

I’m having some problems with my knees and hips so I went looking today for a new computer chair. While browsing through Office Depot, I found a clearance table of display cameras. The $121 price tag was a steal on this Kodak Z1285 which has 12MP, 5x optical zoom, and HD video. I snatched it up and am glad I did!
The video quality is amazing compared to my older 2MP camera. The photos are clear and concise. I can’t wait to put this camera through the wringer next Saturday at Shiver’s graduation.

I’ve been looking for an aluminum water bottle ever since seeing a teacher use one last spring. While out shopping today at Walmart I found the above one for only $4 vs. the $12+ I’d seen online.
I’m so pleased with this purchase. The bottle just fits inside my lunch cooler and a straw is attached to the mouthpiece so I don’t have to tip the bottle all the way up for a sip. This is perfect to use while driving. The bottle even fits in my car’s tiny cupholders! The other favorite part is there is a little piece of plastic standing up on the mouthpiece so I can use my finger to pop the mouthpiece into the upright position with ease. The final score! is that the bottle is a vibrant green with pictures of the earth on either side. It’s fun and colorful which makes me happy. I highly recommend this bottle.
(sooo not a spokeperson for Walmart but this was such a perfect purchase to stumble across)

After having recently heard of Moleskin journals, I had a brief stirring of memory about having seen them at my workplace at some point in the past. Then with my latest decision to invest more time to improve my writing, I decided to buy myself a pocket-sized line ruled Moleskin after having taken the GRE. I did some research and ultimately bought one on Amazon for about $8.60 total.
I plan on using mine to work on my story writing. In a suitcase I have a bunch of old journals from as early as the 6th grade, but I only filled up a couple of them. I haven’t read them from fear of how embarassing my focuses in life were back then. However, I believe that this time, I will be proud of my creative endeavours. I hope that this journal will fit in my apron pocket with my sketchbook. If all goes well, my next pocket sketchbook will also be a Moleskin.
