A TV Apperance

As I announced on my Twitter account, I was stopped and interviewed by the local television news station before I went into that workshop. I spent about 10 minutes speaking to the camera man/reporter about the job hunt I went under between May and November last year before I gave up. I then decided to apply to grad school. :-)

The other questions I was asked was about the value of a liberal arts education, what I’m doing in the meantime while looking for a job befitting my education, etc. When I watched the 11 o’clock news tonight, there was a 20 second blurb about the workshop. My interview was not shown but you could see the back of my huge bun (the usual style I wear my hair in).

In the morning I’ll keep tabs on the news as I get ready for work. I don’t have a way to video tape it directly, but I can make a poor quality video with my camera phone. At least I had dressed up to the nines for the workshop!

Pushing Daisies

pushing-daisies

I’ve fallen in love with Pushing Daisies. Ever seen Enchanted? You know that happy feeling you get in the end? I wanted to hate that movie so much but it made the world feel like a better place and true love was possible. Pushing Daisies is exactly that. I’ve been watching it on my lunch hour. It makes everything better. Happier. It makes me want to find love again. A true love this time. Innocent happiness with desire mixed in. Like Ned and Chuck’s love.

I had been feeling really down lately, but now…this makes me feel better.

You can thank me later for falling in love.
