Thanks! Very helpful in learning how to use this Conditional Fields module. Something like this should be documented in its Advance Help documentation inside Drupal.

Ah, thanks for the update! FB changes their settings all the time so I'm not surprised. Alas, I have left FB so I really have no interest in refiguring this out.

I'm finding it a strange process too. Like you, I'm so much more used to in-person teaching. Writing handouts for those settings is second nature to me now. Even webinars seem more personal compared to this. We might consider adding some screencasts to the class if that might make it easier for us and for the participants? Or maybe ALA will run the class again and we can add them then! It was fun working with you tonight.

My library just jumped on the e-reader bandwagon and it's nice to know that we aren't the only ones running into some awkwardness.

We are using Contactology. I have no idea how much it costs--though I could probably look it up. It gives you some options for layouts which are okay, but to really get into it, you have to dig into the code yourself. I was lucky that there was a pre-existing layout that I could modify for our needs. Unfortunately, browsers and email service providers do not agree on how to make it appear, so I'm still working out some bugs in it.

And thank you! I'm trying to document my work life. If I tried to keep a private work journal, I'm sure I would not be able to keep it up. By posting publicly, I hope to use that as motivation to keep writing. I saw an article recently about how to send out very customized emails through WordPress but I don't know what it is right now. If you have a little money and not a HUGE demand, a fairly cheap web host would support your web presence. Though that also depends on how much bandwidth you are looking at for hosting content as well as keeping it up for users.

I just fell into your blog and have been very impressed! Its actually something I can read and understand and possibly act on. We are at a place where we need so much, but money is a problem. So we are looking at lots of ways to try to use free or very low cost sources. Right now our website does not have a Reference presence. Don't ask, long story. So our department is looking at creating something that can be linked to from our website. We are considering wordpress, and also weeblee.com as options.
The thing I am most curious about right now though is what are you using to create your new e-blast. Again we are currently using a low-cost (EmailNow for Emma) which is wildly frustrating and limiting. I have been hunting around looking for something else to use that would offer more layout freedoms. What are you using?
Sorry for the order and or confusion of this email - I was just really interested in your thoughts. Thanks also for your blog - really worth following!
